Survey: Oil and Gas Hiring in Houston Flat in 2019 Oil and gas hiring in Houston is expected to remain relatively flat this year, according to the 2019 Houston Growth and Staffing Outlook Report by recruiting firm Murray Resources. The survey of executives, HR staff and hiring managers – administered in December 2018 – is conducted annually to check the pulse of staffing in the city. 2019 results show that about 18 percent of the 76 surveyed are in the oil and gas industry.
